Carl Martin is doing a groovy thing out there man…. Introducing the Vintage Flanger; designed for those guitarists who desire this unique form of modulation. The Vintage Flanger has four knobs to control Speed, Depth, Pre-delay and Feedback, plus a dual speed mode that is foot-switchable. There are no rules with a Flanger, just plug this versatile modulation pedal in and play play play. As with all the Vintage pedals, the Flanger comes in a solid, diecast housing with the cool CM graphics and chicken-head knobs. It can be powered by 9v battery or a (recommended) regulated 9v power supply like the CM ProPower.

These effects are definitely on a plane on their own. Carl Martin does not settle to produce the same effect its neighbor introduced a decade ago. The Carl Martin Classic Flange Effects pedal for guitar is a ridiculously intriguing unit. This pedal oversteps its boundaries and is here to overstay its welcome. The unit has three knobs that are a lot like other tremolo and vibrato models. With Speed, Depth, and Feedback you can dial in exactly what other pedals allow you to. Speed with change the rate of waveform pace. Depth is going to affect the control of the flange on your overall signal. Feedback will dictate how long it takes for the effect to decay and fade. The unique things about this pedal are its Pre Delay knob and the Fast – Slow switch. Pre Delay will decide what parts of the wave are embellished. You can push forward the nose or the tail of the effect, whichever you prefer. The Fast – Slow switch will let you choose a basic field for timing. Once you are in fast, you can turn the Speed knob to fast and have 2x the speed. If you are slow, you can turn the Speed knob all the way back and 2x the lag.
Carl Martin is taking huge strides again! With this fabulous flanger sound that is hardly commonplace, you are sure to be pleased. Other company’s offer versions that don’t sound nearly as professional as this one. It’s a shame I don’t see more of these on stage. This pedal is just $135! Find one today!
The Carl Martin Flange may not be well known but the ones who tried it swear by its great sounding vintage tones. This made us want to help more guitarists learn about the brand. Other than a nifty fast/slow footswitch, it is a straightforward flanger pedal, with four self-explanatory knobs. Instead of adding more bells and whistles, Carl Martin focused on providing rich and complex modulation that responds well to the knobs.
