the new ‘Sound & Video’ page, we present sound and video clips
made by you, the true owners, users and endorsers of Carl Martin gear.
We feel this is the most honest and fun way to demonstrate our
gear; you know, real clips by real people…..and we encourage you to
take part, by submitting your own sound or video clips.
To do so, just attach your clip and send us an email at info@carlmartin.com,
including what guitar/amps/pedals you used, plus the settings.
Make sure you include any links to your website, Myspace and
Facebook profiles, and we will add those links to your clip.
All clips will be presented randomly as we receive them, and Carl
reserves the right to review all submissions to determine whether they
are appropriate and to insure a minimum quality standard.
Make sure you check back often to listen to your own clips and
those of Carl Martin fans around the world! |

Mike Hagland http://www.timesupband.co.uk The Carl Martin effects were used all through the song, as much of the guitar is from the first take for the live feel. In the Quattro effects loop was an Electro Harmonix HOG synth for the flutey sound at the start assisted by the chorus and compressor from the Quattro. Acoustic guitars are added, but from 4 minutes onward the Quattro overdrive and delay kicks in for the rest of the song aided with a Digitech wah. The song spent 5 weeks at No 1 in the UK Unsigned top 40, catching the Christmas Number One as a bonus. Guitars used on the session were an Ibanez Jem JEM777VDY (vine inlay, Desert Sun Yellow) and a Campbell American Nelsonic Transitone! Recorded in Monmouth Wales. |
