The Carl Martin effects were used all through the song, as much of the guitar is from the first take for the live feel. In the Quattro effects loop was an Electro Harmonix HOG synth for the flutey sound at the start assisted by the chorus and compressor from the Quattro. Acoustic guitars are added, but from 4 minutes onward the Quattro overdrive and delay kicks in for the rest of the song aided with a Digitech wah. The song spent 5 weeks at No 1 in the UK Unsigned top 40, catching the Christmas Number One as a bonus. Guitars used on the session were an Ibanez Jem JEM777VDY (vine inlay, Desert Sun Yellow) and a Campbell American Nelsonic Transitone! Recorded in Monmouth Wales.
